Giant Claw — DARK WEB
In our warped presence in hyperrealism, time is our biggest rival. The theory of relativity needs to catch up with our three synced calendars all cohabiting on the same app on our mobile devices. Patience is even more of a bore than when it was in 2011. It is not 2011 anymore and we do not even have time to start thinking about “it is not 2011 anymore”.
Our browsers, once fascinated with multi-tab support are now simply slaves to our pressure tests. Working software is nowhere near enough. It should also speak for our transatlanticism. It should feed me, me 2.0, and the me I am yet to have a date with simultaneously. On one tab I consume the news of a letter by Vektroid (AKA Ramona Andra Xavier). On the second there is crackled R&B from a distance. The third is the idiosyncratic torture of Roland TR-808 and on the fourth, I am hearing FLORAL SHOPPE. I love it all and I need them all. And I don’t even know what I need or love or hate anymore. But I am merely catching up and that is what I need to love.
Giant Claw’s brilliant DARK WEB is a manifestation of similar life. Keith Rankin has just released his most daring work yet. It challenges you, deals you plunderphonics cards, and steals your vaporwave. It is all very confusing and entertaining at the same time.
