Iran, as we speak, is undergoing what some already call a revolution. This could be a shapeshifter movement that will trigger the status quo of the world as we know it if it reaches its safe shore.

You might have heard of the demonstrations. But demonstrations happen all the time and the news media pick up the ones that fit their narrative. However, this specific wave of anti-regime protests is different in a few ways. Was I clear in using the word “anti-regime” instead of “anti-government?”

The protests started following the death of Mahsa Amini, a young Kurdish girl on her visit with her brother to Tehran. She was arrested by the moral police for being underveiled (which is not even a word, but it is in a post-1979-revolution context in Iran.) It is a state in which a woman is wearing hijab but it does not completely cover her hair.

I’d rather not delve into the story per se as most readers might have heard the gist of it. The mainstream media is merely having a cursory look at the topic at the bottom of their Websites. They are reluctant on covering such an important story.
